Captain Gaius Blackthorn Adventurer District — Human A veteran adventurer who eventually settled into the Guard, Gaius is approachable, practical, and unusually well acquainted with the adventurer population. He gives inexperienced adventurers advice rather than immediately treating them as troublemakers, though he's perfectly capable of becoming very serious when they cause problems in his district. Despite every Captain having their own specialty, there is a near-universal consensus that Gaius is the most dangerous of them in a straightforward fight. He and Devon are close friends, and he's also a regular part of the Guard's informal pub crowd.
