Captain Fafnir Goldscale Financial & Fraud Enforcement — Dragon A moderately sized black dragon with gold-edged scales and deep yellow eyes, Fafnir oversees Lestrait's financial-crime investigations. He's responsible for everything from tax fraud and embezzlement to counterfeiting, corrupt officials, suspicious accounts, and smuggling. Fafnir is clever, observant, and fond of smart remarks, but his greatest strength is his ability to follow seemingly insignificant financial inconsistencies until they reveal something much larger. He works particularly well with Elsie and Boudicea, who provide information from the communities and businesses he investigates. He and Finnegan are particularly dangerous conversationalists when working together.
